The short version

Your clipped content goes directly from your browser to your Notion workspace. It never passes through our servers, and we cannot read it.

What we store

• Nothing about your content. Pages and conversations you clip are sent from your browser straight to Notion's official API.
• Your Notion authorization (OAuth tokens) is stored only in your browser's local extension storage. Our server exchanges the authorization code and immediately forgets it — tokens are never persisted on our side.
• Billing: if you purchase Pro, Stripe processes the payment. We store your email, license status and subscription period so your license works — for Team, the seat count too. Nothing else. Tax IDs and billing addresses entered at checkout stay with Stripe. If you reach checkout from a link inside the extension, the pricing page passes along which feature you came from; it is stored only on the Stripe payment record.
• Device count: Pro activations send a random device identifier (a UUID generated in your browser, tied to nothing else) so one key stays within its device limit.
• Waitlist: if you join the waitlist, we store the email you submit, only to email you about launch.

What we don't do

• No analytics SDKs, no trackers, no ads, no browsing-history access.
• No selling or sharing of any data with third parties, ever.
• No reading of your email, your Notion content, or any page you didn't clip or choose to follow.

Permissions we request and why

• activeTab / scripting: read the page you clip, at the moment you click or press the shortcut. On a site you haven't clicked, nothing runs — the one exception is Following, below, and you turn that on yourself.
• Following (optional): when you turn on Following for a conversation, Chrome asks once for access to that site (chatgpt.com or claude.ai). From then on Permaclip reads new messages only on that site, only in the conversations you chose, only while the tab is open, and writes them into your own Notion. Nothing is shown on the page. Turning off the last followed conversation on a site removes the access again.
• Import: a ChatGPT or Claude export file you import is read and converted in your browser. It is not uploaded to us.
• api.notion.com: write clips into your own Notion workspace.
• Our API domain: OAuth code exchange, license verification, and fetching the site-selector configuration file (a static JSON with no personal data, so we can fix breakage when ChatGPT/Claude change their pages without waiting for a store review).

Data deletion

Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. To delete billing records, email us and we will remove them within 14 days. Revoking the integration in Notion (Settings → Connections) instantly cuts all access.
